Team Telluride

Last summer this program was a complete success. At times we had over twenty students at a time. Meeting every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, Team Telluride allows local teenagers to continually progress in their kayaks throughout the summer. Participants in this program need to be fairly committed throughout the summer so the group can progress cohesively. During the first sessions we will spend plenty of time working on the basics of a good roll and efficient paddle strokes. Latter in the summer we will move on to river-running, safety & rescue and playboating skills. There will also be an opportunity to attend kayak competitions in Durango and Salida.
