Hanging Flume
The Hanging Flume section of the Dolores is ideal for your first river run whether it be on a Stand-Up paddle board or a kayak. Located an 1.5 hours from Telluride, this desert canyon is a hidden Southwestern gem. This stretch of river contains dramatic sandstone canyon walls, small/fun rapids, warm water and remnants of the historic water flume, which is etched into the cliff walls.
